Best pick-up line I’ve ever constructed
On a scale from America to North Korea, how free are you this Saturday?

Religious Post of the Day
I found the need to go to church yesterday and talk to my priest. As we got into a discussion about life, I finally admitted what I thought about God. I said to him, “I always feel like I’m going to get punished by God for everything I do that isn’t good.” He just looked at me and said, “Wow, Andres. Is that who your God is? Your God is vengeful and is always waiting to punish you for whatever you do? That’s not the God we have taught you about. Your God is the Colombian God.”
This made me realize how corrupted my view on God has been my whole life. In the Colombian culture, we are taught to think of God as someone who will literally punish us for anything “wrong” that we do and that is what I was raised believing.
If I sinned or did something out of character, I automatically started to think of what God could possibly punish me with this time. I’d think of opportunities that would be taken away from me, people close to me that He’d take away from me, getting into trouble, etc.
Now that I look back at it, I can’t fathom how awful my view on God was up until yesterday when my eyes were finally opened.
Let me make this clear, our God is the most loving and forgiving being that can ever exist. His goal is not to wait for us to do wrong and punish us. This is to say God’s attitude is not, “You did ______. Oh, you just wait.”
Having a good prayer life, having faith in God, and wanting to better yourself as a person and as a believer is more than enough to realize that, man, God is good. We sometimes try to much to make God like us and the human race tempts to act in a vengeful way. Just remember, we are made in the image of God, God isn’t made in our image.
As Matt Maher once said at Steubenville West, “There is no greater love than the love of God.” Yesterday’s talk with my priest made me realize that God’s love trumps anything and when you fall, His love is enough to raise you up, forgive you, and walk with you through life.
We are sinners by nature, but the man upstairs can help with that. Trust and believe.
Home Sweet Home…blah blah blah.
After being on the road for the past two days, staying with friends in Connecticut, walking around Boston, and enjoying a nice cookout at my friend’s house in Massachusetts, I’m finally home!
These past two days made me realize:
- How much I love driving.
- How great it is to just venture out with friends and have a good time.
- What great friends I have.
- That Boston is so much better when you have a camera.
- You always have to look on the bright side of life.
- North End cannolis are delicious at 10PM.
As I was on the road, I heard the ad for the Brad Paisley and The Band Perry concert next Sunday. So, I came home and immediately bought tickets. I got a sweet deal for two seats and I am quite excited!
Summer 2012 is in full effect.

my tumblr pet peeves:
- automatic playing music
- music that automatically starts
- when a song just starts automatically when I go to your page
- that song that interrupts my song because it started without my knowledge
- music on your page that just comes out of nowhere
- not being able to find the damn widget so I can stop the music
